Alright guys...so I have an HID kit for my low beams. The kit is from XenonDepot.

I've looked at this guide here:
http://www.ramforum.com/f96/installing_hids_your_2013_oem_projectors-32466/

Is there ANY kit out there, or any way of doing this without having to drill a hole in the headlight, take apart the grill (I tried doing this and broke one of the clips...).

The amount of work which seems to be involved in this is ridiculous. It's almost like whoever designed it intentionally made it as difficult as possible to even get at the headlight.

Its not so bad after your first install. You don't have to drill into your headlight though...just lay the wires side by side, and screw the back cover back on. It will seal up without having to drill any holes in the cover.

It seems more of a big deal than it is. After you've done it you can do it again every quickly, just take your time. Now that I've done it 8-10 times I can install a set in under 45 mins. I'm NOT mechanically inclined either!

Not sure if I understand correctly, run the wires between the dust cover/headlight and then screw it back on?

I think I just need someone to get the grill off for me without breaking anything. I pulled straight out as directed in that thread and broke a clip/pin thing on the left hand side...

That's right. There is a weatherstripping on the dust cover, so you should be able to lay the wires side by side, and then clamp it back down. This is how I did the last 3 sets I installed in the factory projectors.

Even then, I still need to take the headlight out?

Yes you do. The headlight has to come off no matter what kind of bulb you put in those housings though.

Gotcha, thanks.

I'll either be returning the kit or trying to see if my dealer will do it. I'm not going to damage my truck's paint & grill clips by just trying to get the front grill off. Really doesn't seem worth it at all to me.

I helped a buddy do his on his 13 2500
We were able to remove the headlight without taking the grille off by using like 24" of extension to get to the one bolt
It did limit us a bit on where to mount his ballast but we got all four (high and low) in with the help of a right angle drill

I don't see how the grille is so hard, it's 4 bolts on the top and then just grab in the middle on either side and yank on it. Comes right out every time for me.

The 4 grill clips are $2 for all of them. Even if you break them your out $2 to replace them. Put some tape on the bumper if your worried about scratching. .However. ..I don't even remove the grill for the headlights any more

If I pulled any harder, I'm pretty sure I'd snap the grill in half. I'll see if I can find the clips and give it a go. I'll put something on the bottom as you suggested. Thanks.

Try tilting the grille towards you, and pulling on one side of the grille. Give a nice firm, sharp pull towards you. That's how I remove mine, and it works perfectly without breaking clips or scratching the bumper.

I broke all the clips the first time. Like yours mine took a hell of a tug to come off. The next time I took it off none of the clips broke. I pulled one side at a time the 2nd time.

I just installed my projectors and HIDs last night from Retroshop. It is not very hard at all. The hardest part for me was mounting the resistors to the frame. Installing everything else was a breeze. I decided to drill a hole in the back cover rather than running them on the side of the cover. Everything is plug and play. Don't pay the dealer they will **** you.

Got them in today! Got 2 clips from the dealer as I broke two off. Hardest part was taking the grill off without snapping it in half...Took about 3 hours total, I'd say it's definitely worth it after seeing the results. I'll be saving my fogs until the summer, as that's going to be a whole new pain in the ass.

My HIDs came with a rubber grommet/seal which allows me to run the wires through the back of the dust cover while blocking out any moisture. Pretty happy with it actually! Still was a huge pain in the ass for me to do for the first time, if I did it again and knew what I was doing, it wouldn't be bad at all.

Fogs are super easy,
easy access to everything from behind the bumper.

There's even some exposed threaded studs that match the
hardware that shipped with my Morimoto Ballasts.

If you use the canbus adapters it should take no more than 10 minutes.
