Youre gonna need a CANbus harness too, so the truck wont give you any codes.
Ill be the first to say this...You should check out retro shops HID kits
although they are expensive, they are well worth the money, and they include everything you need

That depends on if you want to be legal or not IF you do not have factory projectors. Per DOT law 49 CFR Sec 571.108, an HID bulb cannot be in a housing made for halogen lights. If you want to be legal and not be a douche bag to others on the road, then I would recommend spending the extra money on getting retrofitted or some sort of projectors made to cut the glare on HID or HIR2 lights.
