I have a 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie. Is there a way to work you high beams manually? I live in the country and the automatic lights switch off and on by road sign reflections? I would like to work my high beams manually.

You probably have a manual position on your headlight switch that will also defeat the automatic dimming feature. I’m speaking from experience with my wife’s car as I haven’t used it on my RAM?

Went into my settings and cannot find Automatic High Beam settings. Only find the Mirror dimming settings?

found this on line......might help

"To disable automatic high beams on a 2025 Dodge Ram, locate the headlight control switch on the steering column, usually with an "Auto" setting; while the vehicle is on, turn the switch to the "off" position or hold it in the "off" position for a few seconds until the automatic high beam indicator light on your dashboard confirms the feature is disabled; consult your vehicle's manual for specific instructions. "

Key points:
  • Access the headlight switch:
Find the headlight control switch on your steering column.

  • Select "Auto" position:
Turn the switch to the "Auto" setting to access the automatic high beam function.

  • Disable by holding:
Depending on your model, you might need to hold the switch in the "off" position for a few seconds to deactivate the automatic high beams.

  • Check indicator light:
Monitor the dashboard for a visual confirmation that the automatic high beam feature is disabled.

I figured it out. If you turn you light switch from the auto position to the lights on position then the High beam and low beams are controlled by your swithch on the steering column. THANKS For the comments!!

If it makes you feel better, I didn't figure it out with a recent rental Jeep that's probably the same mechanic. That's not a very intuitive way to disable it, IMO.

That’s if you can find the “neat info” amongst all the repetitive legalese and insulting warnings.
That’s easy…. just open the cover…and read it page by page until the end. (I gotta admit tho’….the “index” and/or Table of Contents are Not User Friendly.)

Need to go in to the settings on your radio. There is a setting for Automatic High Beams. Disable it and your turn signal stalk will activate high beams like normal.
Thank you! I have exactly that issue with my '23 (which I drive very little since my '16 is still running so well). Reflective road signs dim the headlights! Just crazy.

I thought RAM had stopped providing printed owners manuals now and were just providing a website where it could be accessed.

so I take it you no longer have the dial on the dash any more? seems silly to have it on the wheel
I am glad I had "the" book when programming my door links and the phone . But it can be a hard read.
The honda is just as bad. they even tell you how to insert the key into the switch and then turn to start.
Come to think about it, maybe some need that as they don't seem like they have never driven.
