Hood latch

I’ve been reading all the posts about the factory remote start. I know that my hood latch has no connector but I still get a hood ajar message when I pop the hood. Is it possible I have the cable somewhere else in the truck to monitor the hood? Or am I better off getting the start x plug and play remote start? Thank you

There is a pin on your ECM (I think it was 11)

Ground that out and your golden

I’m not experienced messing with electrical. Do you mean to pull the pin out of the connector and ground it or add a wire to the #11 pin connection and ground that?

find the wire in pin 11, splice it will a wire, ground the other end.
