Have you thought about riveting it on like they used to do with scoop on the old cobras, the rivets actually become part of the design plus it ain't com'n lose. Just a thought.
I'm no paint and body man, please chime in if you know, but molded in filler between metal and fiberglass is going to crack eventually from what I've been told. Go black like your stripe and use silver/aluminum rivets, that would look killer!

thanks for the input guys. I was planning on putting rivets all the way around it anyways and putting some fiberglass too steel bonding agent in between it. Afterwards fiberglassing all the way around and sanding her down afterwards. Putting some body filler around her then sand it down again and make it smooth so it looks like it's made into the hood already. I just don't want it too crack. Cause I've heard that from tons of people
