I’m at 85k on 2015 hemi it’s running great however I just noticed that the back of the bed seems to have separated from the bottom of the bed the welds or rivets let go and I’m starting to get some rust in the seam. So I just started shopping for a 2020

2015 Ram 1500 53,000 miles, pain in the butt doing repairs after I grabbed it, it runs great now, my first RAM truck too.

What type of repairs did you have to make at only 53,000 miles?

Awesome! 5.7? How much did someone pay for it (if you don't mind)?

Thanks

I have a 2013 Outdoorsman 5.7 Hemi 6 speed 4x4 with 33.5K Purchased new in June of 2013. I do drive it 12 months of the year. It has been undercoated with KROWN every year since I purchased it. The underneath still looks like new. Its messy if your working under it as I found out when I installed the ultimate 5000 air bags for towing. I do plan on driving it until it done. Just started towing a TT, here is pic taken Oct/19

I have been all over the USA north to south, east to west and I would recommend Tombstone for a feeling of attachment to the past history of the USA, the greatest nation on the face of this wretched planet with overall great/good people. Also try the west cast Pacific highway...I came down from a part of the trip that year from northern BC to cross at Blaine Washington and straight down to Santa Barbara and then across/down to Tombstone. I have never seen such beauty in my entire existence for 69 years. Oregon was breath taking and to be open as I am, seeing the azure blue water break on the rocky coast and on rocks out a ways to transform into a white foam, actually was an emotional item for me as I had never seen such beauty before. I was overcome with the majesty and sublimity of that sight to the point I was unable to contain myself and actually cried. Frig!

The east coast ocean does not compare, it shows in color as steely blue.

My 2008 2500 bought new has close to 320,000 km on it which is about 200,000 miles, and is used as a work truck. It has had NO major issues save a complete front end replacement with after market components having grease fittings so that does not happen again. Pinch joint defect will be eliminated this year with insert brazing and while open, the pinch joint problem will be totally eliminated. The truck will get a complete makeover with the rusty outer fender situation eliminated and a new paint job. This is the ONLY rust on the vehicle ASIDE from a bit on the inner bottom door corner that has been already eliminated. I will maintain and keep this truck I expect to my dying day or until parts are not attainable which may coincide with my decession. Great vehicle. It works when I work and vacations when I vacation but will get a bit of a rest this year when I put a 1979 Chev short wheelbase van on the road with my new TE300i on the rear hitch carrier for use on northern forestry access roads as often as possible, preferably as planned with lots of three to four day long weekends every week as I cut back on work in favor of recreation.

Take care. Time is the coin of life, take care lest others spend it for you.

I know, this is a RAM discussion, but I had to mention I had a 2005 Dakota (3.7 V6) that had 225K when the tranny solenoid pack went out and I bought my Ram. Motor was still running great. Part of the reason I stuck with Dodge was my experience with that Dakota. I beat the hell out of that truck, I loved it!

Similar situation for me.
Had a 2002 Dakota with the 360c.i. (5.9L) and absolutely loved it.
The thing was bullet proof right up to the day I traded it in.
It's one of the biggest reasons I bought a Ram.

19, 34k Classic 5.7 Hemi 4x4 and already replaced a rear ABS sensor due to a discarded wire fence in a field. Dealer cost of $435. As my Daddy says “It’s all part of Hot Rodding.”

Frig. Looked at cost of new truck and freaked. Basic cost of most economical models a pile more than I paid for my 2500 in 2008 loaded. Happy with my truck anyway. Take the dollar depreciation via inflation at 3% per year and it reconciles. We are defrauded by this silent enemy of the worker that reduces our wealth. if you have a hundred thou and put it in a bank account, you lose 2-4 percent per year.
