First step is to take the triangular panel off that covers the bolts for the mirrors. This Pops off fairly easy. Just get a finger under one corner and gently pry up.

After

Next there is a screw behind a little flip out cap by the door latch. With a very small flat head screw driver carefully pry the cap open. If you are not careful the you will scratch the cap and further like i did. Then take the screw out.

Third step is to take the plastic screws and anchors out around the edge of the door panel.
Here is what they look like and there are 6 of them.

With a T-20 torx bit take them out like a normal screw. Since they are plastic and in a plastic anchor they might just spin, so with the real small flat head screw driver that you used before, carefully pry it behind the plastic screw and pull outward while trying to unscrew it with the T-20 Torx bit. Here is a pic with the Plastic screw removed.

After you take the 6 plastic screws out i found it is best use that little screwdriver again....pry behind the anchor and pull the anchors out. If you leave them in and pop the door out they will shoot across the floor and into your truck(trust me I know) Here is the plastic screw and associated anchor.

Once you did all that all is left is to lift up on the panel and work it off the latch and the lock pin.

When it comes time to re-install another thing i found out the hard way is that if you don't remove the pop in piece around the door latch(not the flip out cap for the screw, but the whole rectangular trim piece around the handle - see pic below) you will be struggling and probably cursing like I was trying to get the panel back on right.

yeah the handle part should come off before you remove the panel. also the window/door switches can be pulled off before to ease of removal of the plugs on the back side. I figured that out on the second of 4 doors I did.

Nice pics! It's strange you have a black bracket under the triangle top trim piece that the mirrors bolt through... I don't have that.

The bracket is for the towing mirrors. They do the same even on the GenII Rams.

Turns out those HUGE SAILS catch a LOT of wind..

Thanks for the how too. I need to pull mine and put some sound deadner in them. The stock speakers can rattle the panel.

Cann the mirrors be removed by simply popping off that first piece, or do you have to remove whole door panel?

If you don't have power in the mirrors yes, but if you do the plug is down behind the door panel

Damn. That's not what I wanted to hear. Wanna pull my tow mirrors off to paint them to match.

Thanks for response though
