First step is to take the triangular panel off that covers the bolts for the mirrors. This Pops off fairly easy. Just get a finger under one corner and gently pry up.
Before
After
Next there is a screw behind a little flip out cap by the door latch. With a very small flat head screw driver carefully pry the cap open. If you are not careful the you will scratch the cap and further like i did. Then take the screw out.
Third step is to take the plastic screws and anchors out around the edge of the door panel.
Here is what they look like and there are 6 of them.
With a T-20 torx bit take them out like a normal screw. Since they are plastic and in a plastic anchor they might just spin, so with the real small flat head screw driver that you used before, carefully pry it behind the plastic screw and pull outward while trying to unscrew it with the T-20 Torx bit. Here is a pic with the Plastic screw removed.
After you take the 6 plastic screws out i found it is best use that little screwdriver again....pry behind the anchor and pull the anchors out. If you leave them in and pop the door out they will shoot across the floor and into your truck(trust me I know) Here is the plastic screw and associated anchor.
Once you did all that all is left is to lift up on the panel and work it off the latch and the lock pin.
When it comes time to re-install another thing i found out the hard way is that if you don't remove the pop in piece around the door latch(not the flip out cap for the screw, but the whole rectangular trim piece around the handle - see pic below) you will be struggling and probably cursing like I was trying to get the panel back on right.
