I figured while I was testing the fit of my sub enclosure, I'd snap some pics and put together a "how to" writeup for anyone not knowing, and wondering how this is done.

Tools needed:
  • 18mm socket
  • 10mm wrench or socket
  • 13mm wrench or socket
  • Ratchet wrench
  • T30 Torx

Tools used:
  • 18mm standard, 3/8" socket
  • 10mm boxed end ratchet wrench
  • 13mm boxed end ratchet wrench
  • 3/8" ratchet wrench
  • T30 Torx screw driver

Time needed:
  • 10 minutes with hand tools and easy turning bolts.

Step 1: Gently pull on the outer seat bracket trim. There is 2 retaining pins that hold it in place. You don't have to completely remove it, just free up enough space to access the bolt behind it.

Step 2: Remove this bolt. It holds the outer lid bracket in place.

Step 3: Loosen (or remove) the rear inner seat bracket bolt (18mm).

Step 4: Open the lid, and remove the front inner seat bracket bolt (18mm).

Step 5: Pull the outer bracket out, and rest it on top of the seat outer bracket.

Step 6: Now gently, but firmly push the seat bracket towards the passenger side, and slide the bolt you removed in between the two seat brackets to keep it spaced apart.

Step 7: Loosen this bolt (10mm) until it's completely untreaded from the lid, but don't remove it yet.

Step 8: Now carefully pray the spring away from the lid, and pull it towards the passenger side (remove or leave resting on bracket). Then you can easily slide the lid and (if you didn't already) spring away from the seat bracket.

Step 9: Now angle the bolt tip back towards the back cab wall, and it'll slide out with ease.

Step 10: If necessary for enclosure clearance (mine didn't seem to care either way), unscrew the lid latch (T30 Torx).

Note:
  • If done at the same time, there is no need to loosen or remove the driver side seat bracket bolts, because you have already spread and wedged apart the inner seat brackets.

Final product: Atread 201-10CP 10" enclosure. It fits in the space loosely, but stays in place when the seat is down.
