I have a few questions about nerf bars...

I've searched and not found answers to my questions, so, here goes:

1. Are there any companies that manufacture their bars in the U.S.?

2. Everyone seems to have black, but I like the "chrome" grill and bumpers, so how do the SS or silver aluminum bars look, compared to the trim on the truck?

3. Are there any particular brands to avoid?

4. Is there any other advice anyone can give me?

These days any company that still manufactures in the USA will proudly advertise that. As for finishes, polished stainless still will have a finish very close to chrome. But I have heard it can "yellow" over time. The only aluminum bars I've seen have more of a brushed or satin finish. If you do find some polished bars that look like chrome, you will have to keep them polished to maintain that appearance.
