Curious if anyone here knows if the only difference between the two IHC front kits’ components are only shorter springs? I know the rears are “cut-to-ride height” and I’m wondering if I wanted to start at a 3” front drop could I simply cut the springs down if I wanted to go lower?

Don't cut the front springs. The difference between the 3 inch kit and the 4 inch kit is the top rubber isolator.

You must use the upper isolator and if you use the 3inch kit you get a larger upper isolator, if you do the 4 inch kit you use the stock upper isolator, and if you want a 5 inch drop, they say leave the lower isolator out.

Everything is designed to work with stock components.

Now in looking at the kits on line, it appears they have changed them some since i purchased mine.

The 4 and 5 inch drop kit now comes with the shorter front sway bar end links and the 3 inch kit doesn't.

This is for 2009 to 2018 models, 2 wheel drive only. 4 wheel drive different story.

I have not installed a 5th gen Truck so can't comment on those.

PS, If you go 4 inches down or more in the front be prepared for your tires to rub the inner fender at the top.

Pretty much any tire larger than 31.5 inches will rub, 32s will rub, not all the time but on big dips they will.

At 3 inches a 32 doesn't rub. Makes a difference.
