If you don't like rants, move along 'cause I'm gonna post one here...

While I refuse to go back to halogens and will continue to pursue a working set of HID's on my 2007, my patience and resolve has been sorely tested today.

I have installed at least 4 different individual kits and just finished with the 8th variation of a harness arrangement. Not one of those kits lasted any longer than 3 months before they came into conflict with the CanBus system and wend down. Obviously, something not quite right here with the ballasts, caps, relays or some weird combination therein. I truly had high hopes for this harness to top off the wondrous projector retro'd headlights I got from JJ.

Alas...it was not to be....

The ******* Relay Case & Connector Came Apart In My Hands!!!!

F**K me...this ****'s getting old...

I feel your pain.... I can't tell you how many sets I went through with my 08 ram.... Todd from Retro Solutions must have really hated me for awhile there..

When I got my JJ lights I had to buy new harness and ballast and it lasted 3 months and a week before I traded it in on my 4th gen the headlights would come on, Flicker 2 or 3 times, and then shut off and would not stay on... That truck really hated HID's and fought me ever step of the way

I have mastered the HID system on my 06 Ram. No issues

I have a harness the plugs into the left oem headlight harness, then from there it feeds off to either HID ballast. I have resistor inline, I can figure what resistor I have tomorrow.

i have a 07 ram and i bought a hid kit as well and was having issues with my hid harness. i even bought the error cancelers. come to find out i did not need the cancelers and the harness was bs so what i did is i got a regular 5 prong relay a built my own harness and installed a 4700uf capacitor inline with the headlamp signal wire. i have had no flickering and no can bus issues. the plug and play harnesses that you get from hid companies are crap.

One more try as soon as the new relay box gets here. This kit also has a resistor based harness that goes into the passenger side OEM headlight plug which seems to be the final solution for a lot of us.

Thanks for the help last night, JJ. You rock, brother!

It works!!! No flickering, no bulbs out, no issues so far.

I do have a bit of work to do to get brights to operate in synch with the high beam switch.

Got my fingers crossed...
