Hey guys,
Quick update: I installed the Linkswell 10.4" T-Style head unit over the weekend on my 2015 Big Horn — figured I’d share some first impressions and maybe help the next person thinking about the same upgrade.

Install Process:

Took me about 3.5 hours total, working solo and going slow.

The wiring harness looks scary, but once I laid everything out, it was actually pretty plug-and-play.

The backup camera worked right away, no special adapters needed. Steering wheel controls too — just like they said on the support call.

What I Liked So Far:

The screen feels super responsive. Boot-up is fast (about 10 seconds).

CarPlay runs smoothly, both wired and wireless.

The fit and finish surprised me — the trim really does match the factory look better than I expected.

Climate controls on-screen took a bit to get used to, but work well.

Minor Downsides:

There was no printed manual in my box, would’ve preferred a small booklet.

Pro Tip for Installers:
Have a plastic trim tool and 10mm socket ready. Also, label the wires before connecting — it’ll save you a headache.

Let me know if anyone has questions — happy to share more pics or details if it helps!

Hey everyone,
Just thought I’d follow up now that I’ve had a full week with the Linkswell T-Style 10.4" head unit in my 2015 RAM 1500 Big Horn.

Overall, still really happy with it — no major issues so far. CarPlay continues to run smooth, the screen responsiveness hasn’t changed, and I’m honestly surprised how much better the interior looks with the vertical screen. It’s grown on me fast.

Minor Quirk:
I did notice one small thing — sometimes when I start the truck, the unit boots up a little slower than usual (maybe 15 -20 seconds). Doesn’t happen every time, just occasionally. Curious if anyone else has seen that?

Bonus:
I finally got around to tweaking the EQ a bit — setting the mids a bit lower helped a lot with the stock speakers. Still not perfect, but a noticeable difference.

Thanks again to everyone who chimed in last time. If you’ve had yours for a while, any tips on hidden features or settings to try out?

Will the unit allow me to access factory-installed options like the cargo camera, backup camera, rear air leveling system functions, and personalized settings?

seems fishy

It will retain these Factory Features. However, if certain features are needed, you can purchase their optional products separately to enable them — they're not expensive either.
USB Ports
Steering wheel controls
Factory backup camera
Factory 360 camera system
Factory rear sensors w/audio feedback (mid-year 2016 & newer)
Manual HVAC controls (will not convert MANUAL to DUAL controls)
Dual HVAC controls
Factory heated seats
Factory cooled seats
Factory remote start

Your answer kind of danced around my question. In order to get control of my cargo camera, backup camera, and rear air suspension system, exactly what do I need to purchase along with the head unit?

Hey! Not long ago, I reached out to the customer support from UNIMEAUTO — the store I linked above, and here’s what they told me:
There’s a cargo camera output on the main power harness, and you just need to connect that to the Front Camera input on the head unit — no extra parts or adapters needed.

As for the backup camera and rear air suspension, everything worked fine with the factory setup after install — no additional purchases were necessary in my case.

Hope that helps!
