Got it next day (Saturday) installed this morning, only took about2.5 hours, pretty straight forward. I watched the videos a few times and it was all I needed..
Prob would have been faster, but took my time to be in the safe side.. I totally changes the front seat of the truck.. loving android auto.. going to get a sum card this week.. attached a few of it..

Couple questions though

Did you have to use a separate mic?

Did you lose your settings for auto lights, locks, alignment and jack mode etc?

So far everything works.. Vented/heat seats, back up camera, Android auto, car play.. see how it goes on my drive, so far just around the house to nearby places.. going to try to get a sim card this week

I installed almost the same thing a few years ago, I had a few issues with it because the tech was kind of new. But I found it really frustrating trying to operate it while driving with a touch screen; my fingers kept sliding around while hitting minor bumps, so I went back to my original with a bunch of mods, and I'm much happier. good luck with it! it looks much better than the one I had.

Hello and Congraduations.You have a very nice truck.I am envious.I am happy for you btw that your installation went well...I ordered the same one from Amazon.ca for 1300. all incl. , identical to yours Yesterday, I went to the Ram Dealer,who tried to install the screen but the holes don't line up on the bezel.The Customer Support from the Amazon Seller ,insists he sent the correct one.It is supposed to be plug and play.Can you comnent on my problem from your experience.Nothing about drilling in instructions.My truck is a 2023 Classic.I want to send this unit back to China, but if you can enlighten me, with your experience,I would know for sure and would be very happy.I am out $300 I had to pay the Dealer for R&R of the 8.4inch radio.StilI in my truck,now.I used the Ram Dealer, so it would be done correctly.The mechanic said it might fit if he drilled new holes in the bezel but no guarantees it would be a perfect installation like what you did.I decided against drilling but I still have the screen.So I didn't think any drilling needed to be done.Does it?Thankyou in advance..my belief is Amazon sent the wrong unit

The one i got lined up just fine.. made for 12-18 dash.. I looked at Merge Screens https://mergescreens.com/collections/dodge-tesla-screens/products/dodge-ram-tesla-screen 1st and they send their unit with a new bezel and everything gets swapped over. All the ones I've seen on Amazon do NOT come with a new bezel. go check the website above there are install videos too..
sorry I don't trust the stealership, they seem to always find a reason to not do the work and or charge twice as much as an independent installer.
I will say I have done a few stereo installs over the years and it was pretty easy

THANK you for your response.I will go to Merge screens,if I send my unit back to China .I originally was going to buy one with them but I wasnt sure what the exchange on Canadian to American dollars would be.Thank you for your reply.I know at MS, they are very good at Customer Service.I suppose my OEM bezel will need some new holes in it to correspond to the screen if I still want to try thr install On Amazon my Vendor from China has a hard time understanding Enlish.That is a real problem because the instructions are poor.Mentions nothing about drilling holes.I don't even know if this screen is meant for my truck or if it was meant for another model truck.Take care,Also,.I wonder if you are enjoying the sound.Is it better than the OEM radio?

Just search 'Canada US exchange rate' for the current rate. It's somewhere between $1.41 & $1.45 Can/US $.

Don't forget, you need to check the banks sell rate because it will be higher than their buy rate.

Also, keep in mind we have HST & duty, now that NAFTA is being ignored in both directions.

A buddy was recently charged HST on the full amount when he was driving back from NY, and the CBSA told him she was not charging him 17% duty that was due.

I suggest you contact the Canadian border security and ask for the duty rate to import a vehicle radio.

The rates seem to be very dynamic and all over the map, so it could change while your package is in transit.

Not a great time to be buying from across the border from either side, but worse for us with a weaker $.

Hi .I know this is odd but,I received delivery 2 weeks ago. I am
not sure why but I paid 22CDN dollars for duty and broker fees ,gst ,pst, for it from China by UPS to my door in Ontario Canada.Nothing else.For the reasonable price I paid(same thing sold by vendors on Amazon) I am sure the Vendor did not pay it either.It was all in Canadian funds via Amazon.I mentioned what I paid in a prior post on this thread.From China it went to Japan,then Alaska,down to Kentucky then up to Canada.It went through Customs too,a few times.I used the Canada Customs calculator online, it should be about $300 it estimated.Anyway I am sending it back to China with Amazons AtoZ guarantee.It is not the correct unit for my truck

The only rule about duty and importing costs is that there is a defined set of rules that often change these days, and you can only plan for the worst, hope for the best.

You might get dinged or you might not. What was applied last week isn't a rule, it just happened.

Before the plandemic, I picked up various items in NY every few weeks, I live about 40 minutes from the border. Sometimes I paid HST, sometimes I didn't, but I was often pushing the limits on costs far beyond the allotted daily limit.

Since all this tariff BS, I hear the CBSA are hosing people more often and for less expensive items. The bottom line: plan for the worst and avoid ugly & expensive surprises.

The reason my duty and taxes were less than expected was the seller stated the item was worth $70.98 to duty claim.....(I paid $1300. All inclusive except for 30 dollars duty),on Amazon.The markup must be tremendous on these
