Installing 2/4 drop without a lift?

My dad said he would help me install a Mcgaughys delux lowering kit to save $400 in labor so my question is how hard would it be to do without a lift? I dont have a floor jack but i know i would obviously have to buy one. Has anyone done this in the past and have any tips for me?

That's how I dropped mine on a jack and jack stands its not hard at all just look under there a couple times to get a look at what to disconnect and spray with a penatrent I either user pb blaster or kroil the night before

I did a 2/4 drop on my '01 model by myself in the driveway with floor jack and jack stands. That was nearly 12 yrs ago!
