So I have been kicking around the idea of getting rid of what little chrome is in the interior, I don't want to just paint it and had the idea to use VHT niteshade I had laying around from doing the tail lights...
I had a chrome license plate frame I took of the GF's car and cleaned it and just applied it no other prep. It laid down smooth but still kinda puddled like paint usually does over chrome... doesn't look bad, but not great. I forgot to snap a pick before I left for work this morn, but I will post a before and after.
My thoughts are try another similar product, but think the same effect of painting a perfectly smooth surface will still happen, also thinking of lightly sanding the chrome with a 300 grit but afraid that the milky muted chrome from sanding it will show through the tint effecting the desired look to faking black chrome.
Any thoughts or ideas?
