Is there any special trick to taking these down to replace the bulbs?

I want to change them out to amber in keeping with my theme. If anyone know the bulb numbers it would also be appreciated.

The black piece just pulls down. Use a plastic interior tool to get it off. Check superbrightleds.com for the bulbs

If you look at the rear light there should be a little notch in it somewhere around the edge, use a flathead screwdriver to pop it out. For the fronts, go from the inside edge (side adjacent to other light) and pop it out with the screwdriver. Careful with the fronts as they are held in with a little plastic rod as well, it should come right out without an issue but if it seems to not want to go, don't force it, try to go forward or back with it to remove that rod from the hole

So is it only the black part that comes down for the front ones or does the grey trim around it come down as well? Or is it just the light itself that comes out? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by side adjacent to the other light?

Ok. Got the covers off for the front and back lights. Getting the rear bulb out was easy. But how do you get those little goobers in the front out! I have small hands but they won't budge. I can't get a decent grip on them. What's the trick?

I used needle nose pliers.

Angle them up towards the base of the bulb, close them, and pull. I used it kind of like a lever system... with the plastic from around the housing being the middle point.

Hope that helps?

It's real easy once you know what to do.

I tried needle noses with no luck. I ended up using a panel popper to get them outt

Finally got one down with needle nose. What a pain... Thanks guys. Anyone know the bulb number for LED replacements? There's a bunch of them on there.

Take a closer look in a bit.

Figured out the bulb #'s. Fronts are W5W and rears are 578. Now the question is does anyone know if the interior bulbs need to be replaced with CANBUS friendly LED's or not? Superbrightled lists replacements that are CANBUS friendly but recommends that you don't put them in if they aren't required.

I don't believe they are needed in anything besides the brake lights and front turn signals. (Anything that blinks)

The aftermarket ones aren't nearly as hard to take out.... I played around with a few different lights and have taken them out in person to show people how as well....

So at least you got that part done.

I did not use canbus and have no issues
