Intermittent code flashing

I got an 05 ram sport 4.7 that has an engine light on ( and now driver airbag) I've tried to get the truck to flash the codes for months, i flipped the key 3 times the other day and it read the codes but would not do it again. I know the airbag light has to do with the wiring from clock spring to wire connectors the for air bag just give it a jiggle but would the clock spring effect the code flashing?

It depends on what your codes are. Go to your local AutoZone or O'Reilly and have the codes scanned for free.
