Good morning everybody. May the Lord bless you all.
My name is Adelmo. My wife and I just bought a 2016 2500 ram tradesman 6.7 cummins diesel. It is a refular cab 8 foot bed.
The truck is good and strong and the 4x4 has been used and it has been a blessing for the work I do which by the grace of God is tree service.
I have read a few posts here about my need and have not found a post with a concise and simple enough answer to help me.
The truck did not come with a camera so I bought a OEM camera and installed it along with turning the options on using alphaobd. Now the dynamic grid lines are activated and also all the options that had to do with camera were also turned on. Which were about two or three options.
Now when I put the truck in reverse the screen is blue and says chevk the surrouding and then it turns black.
I went to the back and looked at the wiring that comes from the tailgate and it has 8 wires, but on the other side the other plug has only 2 wires going towards the cab.
I think it does not have any wire for the camera after the 8 wires plug into a two wires plug.
How can I run wires from there to plug behing the radio? I do have the 5.0 uconnect model VP2.
In the harness behind the radio there are several holes without wires. Which ones should I install and run to the tail gate back to the 8 wires plug? And do I need one of those yellow camera connectors male and female to make the camera send the video to the radio?
