Is there a real difference between 09 and 10+ HVAC controls?

I believe the HVAC controls are going out on my 09, and another member here has the controls out of a 2010 available, but the numbers don't match up. Everything else appears identical between the two. Mopar part site says my 09 controls are for 09-11, and the ones out of the 2010 are for 11-12. Anyone know if there actually is a difference/will the 2010 controls work fine in my 09?

are the faces the same ?
I know that in 2009, they had single controls or double

my 2009 the drivers side & passenger side had separate controls, or they could be in sync, it also had vents to the back seat area

This is mine, they appear identical in every way. All the controls are the same

One thing I just thought of, mine is a single cab, I don’t know what the 2010 controls came out of but if it was a quad cab perhaps that could be it?

This may help...
From DCcTools connector repair site
(Search word = control )

Check the signals at the pins between years to see if they match. If so it may work fine. (They didn't have pin #'s on the diagram sheets for 2010 & 12 for some dumb reason?)

Updated prior post...

2010 3500 listed the pin numbers

>>> the risk is entirely yours, but they look like the same signals at each pin to me for 2009 vs 2010
