Just wondering if there’s a possibility of a blackout package on a white Truck... I know there are some 18s with white paint black grille wheels, and badges. I was jw if there’s something similar in the 19s.

I haven’t seen a night package yet but I’m sure they’ll come out with some different packages, might have to wait till 2020, they always like to introduce something at the shows so they can generate some buzz and press release

The special editions and paint schemes were meant to keep the 4th gen relevant as it aged like a fine milk. Now that it has been redesigned, they will likely hold out on those for now. The only reason the rebel continued was because of its popularity.

I think you mean fine wine. 4th gens still look relevant today.

But that's coming from a 3rd gen driver.

No, what I said was accurate. The 4th gen ran too long while ford and GM redesigned their trucks earlier. The special colors and editions were a way to keep people interested in a quickly aging vehicle.

I personally don't like it when a vehicle changes generations too soon. A 10-year span with a 5th-year facelift is perfect IMO. They sure did exactly that with the 5th gen Mustang, now, didn't they? The only reason to make a new one sooner is a major surge in technology PLUS the current one being ugly or ******.

Besides. IIRC GM is the KING of domestic 'ran too long' manufacturers with their, what was it, **does a search** Oh, multiple run-ons. 3rd gen Caprice, 3rd gen C/K pickup, C3 Vette, 73-96 van...

Honestly, a whole new model generation every 5 years or less seems like overkill unless they're bringing a lot to the table and aren't ******** away good things or just causing more problems like making **** longer and changing wheel lug patterns.

Besides, it takes at least 1-2 years to get settled and another 1-2 to work out the kinks, right? After that, you only have 1 model year of actually good product before you make the next one. Lol.

Ram had a minor facelift in 2013 and made major interior improvements so it hasn't really been 10 years.

Sadly the wheels are chrome, but the tails are ( I think ) darkened. :)

Not sure if this qualifies, but here you go.066fe2fac90393e02bcf4b88475f48f3.jpg
Now this I like. The panel between the headlight and bumper still looks a bit weird, but the bumper and grill look good to me.

It was a vote from Ram owners in 2014 or 2015 When MOPAR ask if they wanted to keep it the same Generation or advance. Its was over overwhelmingly stick to the current generation at that time, was my under standing.

This is the closest thing out right now. Either a Big Horn or a Laramie with the sport package. Headlights are dark, maybe tails but the wheels and emblems are chrome.

I just ordered the 2019 Laramie. I wanted the white Sport package but they wanted $2900 more so I scratched the white sport and put sport wheel option on for 1295. Keeping the Chrome front end. If it would have been maybe 1500 or so I would of have done it,but I'm not sure I want all white front end for rocks etc to chip white paint off so I scratched the Sport package.

But I think the White Front end looks better than the Chrome.

Yeah they charge you a good bit for it. They look ok but I'm personally not a fan of the chrome on these trucks. I ended up going with a Big Horn with the blackout package. Only thing it doesnt have that I want is the built in GPS. It has the Alpine and the moonroof, and I'll put some leather Katzkin in.

Yes. It doesnt have the built in Nav and unfortunately you cant add it later in the 2019s. I may swap the radio out later down the line.
