Doesn’t have Apple CarPlay or android auto ? The need for On board navigation is becoming more and more obsolete. In my opinion you did ok not paying them that insane upgrade fee. Then charge you 100 for Nav updates. Ripoff

Yeah android auto works just fine. It was more for the option of activating the wifi hotspot for the kids in family trips.Doesn’t have Apple CarPlay or android auto ? I just ordered the 2019 Laramie. I wanted the white Sport package but they wanted $2900 more so I scratched the white sport and put sport wheel option on for 1295. Keeping the Chrome front end. If it would have been maybe 1500 or so I would of have done it,but I'm not sure I want all white front end for rocks etc to chip white paint off so I scratched the Sport package.
But I think the White Front end looks better than the Chrome.
On the 4th gens they charge more for the chrome on the upper trim levels vs the painted. I think it's just a make money on whatever is most desirable at the time.Still think the whole rock chip on painted bumper thing gets blown wayyyyyyyy out of proportion, and the only reason I bring that up is I wouldn't want anyone that is in the market for a 5th gen and wanted the painted bumpers, to go with chrome instead because they see something about rock chips. My last 2 trucks have had the painted bumpers, in that time I did just about any style of driving except serious off roading, from gravel or dirt country roads (and yes, behind other drivers, and yes lets be honest, sometimes right on their tail) to city and highway and extremely salty roads for years. The first truck was 6 model years old when I traded it in, my current one is now 6 model years old with the new 19's out, and I've never had to touch up a single rock chip on either. Nor is there any fading or peeling or anything of that sort, just two days ago I got a compliment that it looked brand new.
All that aside I agree that price seems steep for that package, anyone know if thats a big jump vs what it was for the 4th gens? Also congrats on ordering your new truck, I'm really liking the 19's but think I'm going to wait a year or two to upgrade next, but am enjoying getting my research in early with these forums.
