Hey I just got home, lol. sorry I wasn't able to answer your questions in time...

I rerouted my **** cable over the headers and zip tied it by the brake booster .

I just cut the **** out of the factory Y. didnt even want to mess with it.

I had to use a pump jack, cargo straps and a 2x4 to push the Y pipe together...lol.

No ****. You'd think they'd make that one fit a little better. I just used brute strength and some choice words. That elfin Y-pipe to the driver side needs to be about 1/4 inch longer and have the flange moved just a tad. I just got done with a test drive after loading my Hemifever tune and I love it.

i can post up some pics of how I routed **** if anyone wants to see it, but not tonight. 6 hours on my back on a gravel driveway has me feeling like I got hit by a dump truck. I'm spent.

Well well, just did the exact same trip but this time I had the HEMIFEVER tune. Granted it was only 14 outside.

I got 11.8L /100 that's a 1.7L/100 improvement.

So Headers alone improved my fuel consumption but the Tune made it better with no CEL's

I go back to work this week in stop and go traffic I can't wait to see what improvements are made.

Where abouts are you located Dilligaf?. If it was 14 where you were,i'm guessing you're in Alberta somewhere, lol.

That's what we hit for afternoon temps over on the other side of the hills,so I thought you might be Alberta based to.

Time to thread jack real quick...

I have never gone back and had hemifever update my tune, I just have his 91 tune. But I have added 4.56 gears and a throttle body since then. Would It be worth it to have him update it?

Yes you need to have a new tune for the gears

HEMIFEVER asks you what gears you have when he adjusts the Tune for your specific vehicle.

Yes, Sean can tailor shift points to optimize your driving experience, but a tune isn't NECESSARY, just nice to have.

Its not necessary, but the truck doesn't run really well without it after the header install. at least mine didnt. YMMV

Its one of those upgrades that compliment each other.

Oh, you definitely need a tune with a long tube/cat delete, but not necessary just for gears

Yeah the tune's for complimenting and filling in the performance part of changing gears. It's not necessary but I wouldn't skip out on a new tune.

Now I have no clue what to upgrade next on my truck, lol... I think all i'm missing is a rear sway bar.

Ported TB , Cams , clutch fan delete are all out of the question on my truck, the cost Vs gain is so minimal it's not worth it for me.

Might even look at upgrading my Alpine monitor since its 5 years old and dated.

Have you done any data logging and sent in to Hemifever yet? I just sent him mine. I was curious to know how it feels after a refined tune.

I run 87 pump gas, as per his email I think you only log if you use premium.

So I havent bothered and dont plan on ever running premium gas.

You should still be able to fine tune with 87. You still need to add or remove fuel depending on how it's running. Only difference between 87 and 93 is timing.
