From what I've heard
Vararam > k&n cai

But I don't really know about that. I'm stock on the insides

Lol guess you guys dont have kids thats like 700 bucks with both of them.Sorry but when i have one in not shelling out another 350 unless it makes a HUGE performance difference. To me if i had the k&n and it was that new cant see why i would shell out another 340-360 for the other one since its not that big of a performance difference.Im not knocking you guys but to close to xmas to spend that much on my truck lol got 3 kids and my better half would prob castrate me.

But on another note im getting a free k&n so if i hear the varam make a much better difference then ill buy one (since the k&n was free) sell it and make a profit lol

wish i had alot of extra $$, but with 2 kids and a wife, thats not the case.
was able to use paypal's BILL ME LATER on the k&n kit ($240 shipped). just used some extra cash to buy the vararam.
whichever one i keep, i sell the other...

I have been lookin at the K&N but aesthetically it's just not there for me. Especially for the $$$

Did you notice a difference in responsiveness?

How bout any added engine noise?

K&N adds noticeable throttle response but adds sound too. I like it and they have their crap together unlike Vararam has proven they don't. It should be better since it took them years. Haha

responsivness? meh...its not much better

engine noise? definitely louder while under acceleration. you would think i changed out my exhaust based on the sound that comes into the cab.
