Okay so check this bumper out gents....

KORETacticalSeries.1.jpeg

it is going for $800 dollars here.

I've been saving for awhile and i am drooling over buying this thing! I am assuming it would work for a 2010 ram 1500 slt... I dont see why it wouldn't...

My really big concern is it says some cutting and welding required. That automatically tells me I can't do it in my garage because A) I dont know how to do that stuff B) Meh...

So how much do you think it would cost to have a shop install it?

Thanks for your time.

Depends on the welding, most body shops won't weld onto frames, but if you find a frame straightening shop they might for the right price.

Nice bumper for a Jeep, but a Ram? You planning on going over rocks? What do you want your bumper to achieve, protection or rock climbing, or something else? I'd check out some others before deciding. I went with a Fab Fours and installed it myself in my garage. If I had to do it different, I would still get the fab fours but the pre runner bumper not the full wrap. I have installed two bumpers on two vehicles one ram and one Jeep, and cutting is very easy with a grinder and patience, especially if you plan on powder coating after you are done, so order bare metal it is much cheaper. If you can drill and cut and get it bolted on and square, it would cost you but a 100 bucks to have a exhaust shop tach weld it. Good luck either way

Pictures of me installing both of them if you want some tips. If the bumper is light enough you can use a board with a jack stand to help square it, for the heavy bumper I used a heavy duty jack and some pully's on the garage ceiling.

I grinded the crush cans out of the original bumper to install then under the abs in the front of the arb, and also grinded some brackets behind the bumper and had then painted them. Cutting metal is nothing.

Gotta square it and level it. Square it and level at same time. To square you need to make it snug against the frame and the same time you are tightening bolts have a guy run a level on the bumper and adjust as you bolt. If the bumper is made correctly it is really easy. You do not want it welded until you have it bolted correctly. If you weld it and it is not squared and leveled you are chit out of luck. Get it bolted and driving good, maybe even aligned, and then have some guy tach it on if you want. I didn't weld either of mine, it isn't a horrible idea to weld it but bolts will work just fine and if you ever needed to remove it you can.

As for what would it cost to have a shop instal it? I found most shops wanted the bumper ordered through them in order for them to install it too. In fact none of the shops I went to wanted to instal my bumper if I ordered it, and I ordered the bumper shipped to my door for 500 dollars less then any shop's price, and in fact a couple shops wanted double what I paid for the bumper, and some other shops only wanted their brand of bumpers. I ended up saying fawk it and just installed it with my buddies. Nothing to it but to do it. The hardest past of the job was removing the ram bumper. There is some crap bracket down there bolted through the fender or something if I remember correctly. Was a pita, but both bumper installs were simple with just a little precautions and planning.

It's looks good on that Ram, but I'd say "no" to a daily driver.

My buddy has it on his Ram and I love the look but it does take a lot of knowledge of work he did it in his garage about 10 hours of work to get it completed. It looks much better now that he has the ram runner sides installed. He got a quote for a shop here in the Chicago burbs and it was $750 I believe but I will check on that.
