Lamp issue in tyc's

Hi guys. Working on putting my hids in the new tyc projectors i ordered. Well i went to put the 9012 hid lamp in the housing that retroshop sent me and it doesnt seem correct. There is no resistance when you turn the lamp to lock in in and it has some play in it. I swapped orings from the original hir bulbs with no help. Any other suggestions on whats going on here? 2 orings or something?

I had the same problem. Jeremy told me that the morimoto bulbs have prongs that are skinnier than the halogen bulbs.


He recommended electrical tape over the prongs of the bulb to thicken it up. I took the gasket off the halogen bulb, added it to the existing hid bulb, and that did the trick.

Not a problem, just be aware it makes it REALLY tight lol
