As an experiment i taped the glovebox shut for a week. Then i opened it and inside were several small leaves! How is this possible??

Anyone ever experience this? Isn't the filter supposed to stop this?

Did you do the cabin air filter mod and maybe just cut too much out? I don't see how else you could get leafs in there unless someone is messing with you.

My 2016 didnt but it should be a sealed housing. You have to cut the plastic and install the air filter and buy the cap for where you cut it out at.

Late 2016s came with the filter door but no filter. 2017s came with the filter as did the 2018s.

Leaves could only come into your glove box via the filter compartment area. Perhaps your filter door is open and you have no filter or the duct is broken.

Please let us know what you find

Remove the bottom glove box. The door is behind it.

I trust you guys in this forum more than the dealership..
I just got off the phone with the dealership. they said "Not all 2018 Rams come with a cabin filter and that yours doesn't have a door in the glovebox to check" and that i can take it in for them to check.

Not all RAMS have a cabin filter???? is this a blatant lie?

This is true. In fact, not all rams even have the door on the housing so you have to do some cutting and then buy the door for the filter. I thought that 17+ model years all came with the filter though.
