Anyone know of any led bulbs that fit in the high beam without any modification? Plug and play would be better (decoders). Got the quad style so 9005 bulb. Or know where to get extended dust covers, was gonna order some from retrofit source but wasn’t sure what the correct size was. Offer from 75-100 mm. Thanks in advance.

I was able to get opt7 led's to fit in the high beams. You don't need canbus adapters for highs.

I am putting these in the high beams in my projectors next week

9005/HB3 LED Headlight Bulbs 50W 10000 Lumens 6000K Xenon White Extremely Bright COB Chips Error-free Led Conversion Kit Motorcycle and Car Headlight by Max5-2 Yr Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DDC1STS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_UvNiDb5RRXMTF

I am also putting these in my projector low beams next week as well - by the way - these are essentially the supernova v4s and would be a great high or low beam option in the reflectors

KATANA 9005 HB3 LED Headlight Bulbs - CREE Chips w/Adjustable Beam - 12000Lm 6500K Extremely Bright Conversion Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J6614JR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_IyNiDbWAG1665

Any reason why your not going to use the Katanas in both high and low beam?

I look forward to your review of this combination, are you running halogens now or HID in your projectors?

I decided I really wanted the katanas in the low beams for sure, and, I wanted to try another brand as well.

I wasn’t completely sure that the katanas would fit in the high beam spot, and I sort of like trying different brands. Also, there was another forum member who had the max5 bulbs in both high and low beams, and he was happy with the performance.

I am currently running the oem halogen bulbs in the oem projector lights - more to come - I have been out of town, with the new led bulbs sitting on my work bench patiently waiting for me to get home and install them. More to come

Ok thanks, please see if the Katanas will fit in the highs just for a test, I really would appreciate it.

I think the hardest part trying to fit the katanas in as highs is getting the wiring to flex enough to squeeze everything in. The wiring is pretty stiff

I did forget about the stiff wiring reports with the katanas - I will certainly test fit them in the high beam spots to see how they fit.

Now, I have to remember to actually take pictures as I progress.....

I used Diode Dynamic SL-1 in both high & low beam and everything fit into the housing with the dust covers on. No modifications at all.

I did not use any flicker module, I changed my settings with the AlphaOBD.

I just installed LED High and Lows from Headlight Experts for my 2018 Express. Direct plug and use. No adapters or anything, and all 4 fit perfectly under dust caps. And they are Life Time warranty, which sold me on them. Fogs I ordered from China, just cuz they were so much cheaper and figured I'd give a try, and they also fit perfectly, and same color as high/lows. Very happy

I just installed Vleds micro for my low beam headlights. Very happy with results. 3500 lm output. Got the 5K w/ the error free adapters (all plug-n-play). Plan on doing the high beams next w/ 6K (4500 lm output). All wires + bulbs fit inside the OEM dust covers. They sell rubber dust covers if you need additional space.

For the guys running the led’s on the highs, is the output light farther than halogens? Im sure they are brighter but curious if the light illuminates farther out than a regular bulb.

Did you get a chance to install these yet?

Just wondering if the Katanas fit so I can get them on order

I put a set of V4 equivalent bulbs (lots of sources for half what HR wants) in both the low and high quad reflectors. It’s pretty easy to get extra clearance Under the high beam dust cap using a heat gun to warm the plastic and press it over something, I used a 2 inch trailer ball and huge socket. Worked like a champ. Light output is much better than stock, both in distance and width but falls short of a projector set up

Sorry - I was out of town for a week, and still haven’t caught up - hoping to get the new bulbs installed this weekend
