Hello all, I am new here and this is my first posting. Just picked up a '13 1500 big horn. Love this thing but now its time to play with it. I'm very familiar with forums as I have been a huge participating member of a forum for my Harley.

Anyway, I am wondering how putting a leveling kit on the truck would affect my ability to pull an enclosed 2 motorcycle trailer. I am very new to truck ownership and even newer to the ins and outs of towing.

The research I have done reading through different threads here suggests an HBS 2.5" level would be exactly the look I'm going for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

A leveling kit, just raises the front. The trailer height should not change.

Welcome to the site and I think you will enjoy the forum, they have helped me out alot. From my experience with an old 1500 I had with a 2.5" level kit up front- took the factory rack out and made room for bigger tires. It looked great without towing, but once I pulled my trailer loaded with my 68 Camaro- 3600lbs +/- the back would sag and lift the front up, I wasnt to happy with that. IMO either lift the rear to maintain rack or add a firestone Ride-Rite air bag to level the back out- I used this and was great! I added air when pulling the trailer, then let it out for the lifted look. I am sure others will add to this, good luck and welcome again to the site. Joe

This not available for the 2012 rams. According to that site.

True stuff, thanks man. Yes, I recommend Airlift 1000 airbags. Easy to install and only about $80 if I remember right. It distractly cut down the amount of sag my rear end did when towing. Not only did it tow better but my headlights didn't blind people anymore from being nose up.

So if you want to be level and tow, do a front leveling kit and then airbags in the rear coils.

Thanks for all the info. I'll be looking to the air bags for the rear.
