1500 2wd. What are my options as far as a leveling kit? Ive done a little research and have found coil spring lifters and also ive found 2" lift coil springs. I know my coils will probly need to be replaced, i have 180k on the stock ones. is there any other options? in the future i will be adding a lift kit, not sure on body or suspention. Only looking to add 3" + the leveling kit. I know the truck has high miles on it to be modding but i take very good care of her and she still runs like a champ. Im only modding cause 1-Its payed for, 2-I will hand her down to my son when hes of age, 3- shes going to be getting new motor, trans, rear end, and all new bushings before he gets it.
With that being said what is a good combo for leveling and lift? I will be running no larger than 35s.And whats your thoughts on body lifts. I really dont like looking at the frame from the side of the truck.

It all depends on what your looking for. Do you want completely level? or do you mind a 1 inch rake? How important is ride quality to you? There are multiple ways to level. You can get 3 inch longer coils, 3 inch spindles, and spacers varying in sizes. Then it also depends on how youre going to lift it later and how much youre willing to spend.

I would like to be close to level and be able to run 33"s with no problem. I travel alot, so ride comfort and handling is at the top of the list.I also tow a heavy trailer alot. I just want a little more clearance. The truck is pretty low as it is, Maybe replace the coils? I also ride my bike, and to get to some spots in the desert i need to be a little higher. Damn 8' bed gets hung up alot. I will post up some pics so you can see how low i sit.

Well as you sit you can run 33" tires(that's the factory size for the rams with 20" wheels)

What would be the best route for leveling, coils or spacers? Im leaning toward 3" coils.

To give you the best ride, I would recommend 3 inch spindles, I think theyre made by chassis tech or something like that. Coils and spacers are about the same, except you cant get completely level with spacers because you can only get 2.5 inch ones(really adds 2 inches).

Rough country makes a 3" lift kit that replaces your front springs and puts a 1" block in the back
IMO probably your best route given what your looking to do with it
The springs coul be used with a spindle lift like CST should you decide to go higher in the long run

Wow! those are cheap spindles. Would they be worth it, or do you get what you pay for?
But really great find blk.

Id think they would be worth it these are the Chassis Tech ones Nick was talking about. Its a really good deal and retains factory ride quality aparently! :superhack:

I personally hate my spacers cant wait for a real lift.

Spindle will give you a better ride, i wouldnot recommend the springs. I researched those spindles before and there was an original fitment issue but they got it all fixed. I think a few people from this forum have them but i cant remember who or if theyre still on here anymore

Why wouldn't you recommend the spring's? Dose it make the ride softer or harder?

If you just want 3 inches, go with a spindle. Springs will give you a harder ride and change all your angles, as opposed to the spindle which will keep it stock
