Also looking for advice on gear ratios. Only thing I ever tow is my 18ft ski boat.

Depends more on your commute. I just bought a 2015 with 3.92 8 speed and it's awesome. I wouldn't get anything less.

I don't have a daily commute but when I do it's mostly interstates. Just curious what you guys would offer on this as its my first time buying. I've been driving my 2000 since I got my license 10 years ago.

I say it's pricey. I would look at laramies you can get a new one off the lot for that price. I saw the dealership your looking at they have a lot of 2015 left so you can catch a good deal if you play your cards right.

What do you think I could get them down to? My local is actually Oklahoma, I've seen a few 2015's left. Most are still in the low 40's. Think I could actually get a new 2015 Laramie for mid to high 30's?

YES!! i purchased my laramie last july sticker for 49.9k i paid 35.4k. brand new. If a dealer still has 15's they will want to move them. after a vehicle sits on the lot for more than 90 day they have to make monthly payments to the manufacturer on them. thats why they try and push older inventory first.

What you posted about dealers having to pay, is not correct. Dealers buy the vehicle outright from the manufacturer, dealers are a franchise. At the end of the model year, Dodge/Ram will give incentives to the dealer to move out going model year, this is to discount the vehicle.

Yes it's possible I was able to get my truck 40kmsrp down to 28k with all the rebates. I got my truck back in October, so dealers will be willing to give better deals I'm sure now that it's 2016 and they still have the 2015 play your cards right and you'll get a good deal

Wow guess I just have to drive a hard bargain. Most are still listed in the low 40's at my dealers.

dealers near me are volume dealers meaning they will loose a little on the truck since they know they will make it up in hold back and kick backs. year round they dump them for 10-14k off of sticker (even on new '16 also).

If the dealers wont budge for you there it may be worth the few hundred dollars for a plane tickets and fly and drive it home.

Wouldn't 10-15k of sticker still be like 40k for most laramies?

That's a good buy at 38k for a Limited. About the bottom you could get one here in the PNW.
That's basically my truck I bought in Oct.. do it, you won't regret it.

MSRP on that was probably 56k?

How much softer is the leather compared to the laramies?

It's the Longhorn leather interior - VERY nice. It's a definite step up from the Laramie. That has air ride suspension - heated/cooled seats. All the options except towing package from what I can see, and the chrome bumper appearance package.
Wouldn't trade mine.. love it.
