I have stock rims and 35s. It rubbed the Control arm all stock, then again with 2" spacers and still now with 3" lift. It only rubs at max turn, but I'll go to different wheels when these Toyos MTs wear out.
18x9 with a +18 offset seems to be the right combination.

Just an FYI, you'll still rub the radius arms with 18x9 +18 offset as that only has 0.5" less backspacing than your OEM wheels. 1.5" more backspacing than your OEM wheels with 2" spacers.

I was afraid of rubbing issues and the tire looking sucked in with a 12.5 tire so I went with a 285/65r20 (34.6×11.5) same height as a 35 but narrower. Stock height, no rubbing and still a load range E. But less options to choose from.

Was actually thinking 37s next time. Think they'll rub if I went with those 18x9 +18 offset? Those Coopers look nice.

Found a few more pictures. After installing the tires, I could have easily gone taller. On my truck, looks like tires any wider would rub on the radius arms during full steering lock.

As far as tire size and rubbing- I called down to cjc offroad in so cal because the do a lot of ram HD stuff , and have a ton of pictures, " mainly thuren/carli" they can tell u what offset u need to keep from rubbing and the largest tire. I know with the thuren lvling kit I can run37"s on my stock 20 with no rub- at least that's what they told me and they have a few trunks they have done on their website with the same wheels- Looks good-
