I have a 2017 Ram 1500 and I am looking for a muffler that will bolt right up where my factory muffler was without spending a lot of cash...can anyone point me in the right direction?

Pypes Violator bolt in muffler option.$237. They're pretty sick sounding. Pypes is out of Hatfield, PA.

Not sure how loud you're looking to go with your exhaust, but any of the mentioned kits will work and sound good. As a Solo Performance user, I whole heartedly can recommend them for both quality and great sound.

Mine came to $120 shipped to NY. You can not beat it. Just remember to grind off the little nipples on the stock pipes and it bolts right in. If you send me your email or Facebook I can send you a sound clip of mine.

You may be okay in OKC with "aluminized" piping, but I typically would not want to replace OE stainless steel with aftermarket "aluminized". Mufflex is about the cheapest "stainless" direct swap.

I got the Mufflex 18". Excellent bang for the buck. It's a straight swap out with the factory muffler.

i have a 017 BigHorn and while i currently have the dual tips i will be modding for different tips and im going to use Magnaflow #26588 which i just ordered @$120 to my home in Va. Have heard same muffler before and its nice but nit overboard. im not sure if i will remove resonators or not. Im excited of the changes to the look i want if i can get it right.

How loud are you wanting? I just put a Carven Progressive on mine which is considered moderately loud against the competition and the sound is phenomenal. Quite a bit of noise at cold start up but relatively quiet goin down the road at cruising speed at least until you get on it. Even the sound of the MDS ain’t that bad. I love it.

Dues your truck have the factory duals in the back?

I had the Flowmaster bolt on muffler and it was loud, drone was unreal and I ultimately took it off for a Magnaflow that was much tamer.

Here's a vid clip of the Pypes Violator taken from the back seat with the rear slider open. I assure you it is louder in person. I compressed it. See if that works.View attachment Pypes Violator.zip

When I was a kid, lmao, used to run dual Thrush on a Pontiac Grand Ville with the monster go no where 455, and on my 396 L4 on my Super Sport, now them suckers were loud.

Was looking at stock exhaust on MY 19, and just on the fence whether or not to add... Sure do not need a lot of noise, and no drone, so all I would do was a muffler replacement, if I can find a product that gives a good sound but not blast or drone, just saying.......opinions vary for sure...
