Hey, I've had my 17 ST crew cab model for 16 months and I've grown tired of the quietness of the exhaust. Dont want to replace the entire exhaust system. Just make it a bit louder. Would an exhaust tip make difference or should I look at different mufflers?

Which motor? If it’s the 5.7, just do a muffler delete. Before my 13 quad cab got hit and totalled, I used to love the sound of that thing. I plan to do it to my 15 crew cab soon too.

With any exhaust system, swapping in an aftermarket smaller muffler will add sound. Carven, borla, magnaflow and flowmaster are a few popular choices for Ram owners.

I've got the Carven Competitor exhaust and it's one of the louder exhaust you can get without just deleting the muffler entirely. I enjoy it, you get a loud rumble on start up every time.

all i've done is replace the factory muffler with a generic magnaflow 20 (i think) and then i've got moe's performance 5inch tips. i love the sound, you can tell when the mds system kicks in doesnt sound bad when mds is active

Buy a flowmaster super 10. Have a shop weld it in. For a total of about $150 bucks you'll have an awesome sounding truck. Otherwise just straight pipe it for even cheaper

Tip wont do much except maybe make the tone slightly deeper, not louder.

You can do a full catback or we can set you up with a universal muffler and have a shop install it, they will need to add some pipe to make up the difference between the larger OEM muffler and the aftermarket smaller muffler.

Let me know if you would like a quote on anything or need assistance choosing an exhaust or muffler. Just send me a message

Tips will change the tone but you are right as far as increase in sound.
