I have the 4.7L in my 02. I got the flowmaster Super 44s with single 3inch in/dual 2.5 dumped out and I like the sound of it. I will post a clip for you if you like. But it will be from my phone so Idk how well it will sound.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note.

If you want I can give you the name for the sound clip on my 5.7L. It was recorded by phone so the quality isn't the greatest but you get the idea of what it sounds like.

I had an 18" magna flow on my 03 4.7L ram and loved it(the black on over there <-). I had the single out and cut it at the spare tire. It was pretty loud, but like some other guys have said, its a low growl that I like. The flow masters sound too hallow and "tingy" for my taste. I put the 14" on my 2011 hemi cause the its so quiet inside, i wanted to still hear it, and its awesome.

I wish i had some sound clips from my old one for ya, but i'd go for the magna flow.

Thanks, I am leaning towards Magnaflow more and more now

Thanks on the offers for the sound clips, but listening to a sound clip or watching a video clip just doesn't do it for me. I would prefer to hear one in person, I have some friends with trucks that like to do mods and I'll get with them soon, I hope.

The other thing you could do that a friend of mine did was, go to your local shop and have them hold up each muffler without welding it on and see how you like it. This will give you an idea at least. Your stock one is bolted on so if you're still not sure after that, they can just bolt the original back on.

I'm in the market for new exhaust too, looking at both of these brands. Tough decision for sure.

If you got the money, you might want to consider a Borla system. I bought a dual cat back exhaust system from amazon and i have to say it is by far my favorite mod to my truck so far. It is a bit on the pricey side. mine i bought was around $900, but it makes it sound so much better, and the quality that borla offers is amazing. everything on the system is 304 stainless including the clamps, muffler and the packing inside it. My uncle has had a borla system on his truck for almost 8 years now and it looks almost the same as mine when i bought it. I live in NY and with all of the salt they put down, it still won't rust. the install was easy too, took me about 1 hour to cut the old system off and about 40 min to install the new one. if your going to have your truck for a while, its worth the investment.

I just installed an 18" Magnaflow on mine and it sounds great. The drone when the MDS kicks on at low speed is a little annoying but at cruising speeds on the highway it's only a little louder than stock.

Good idea, but I will be buying it online more than likely. It is much cheaper on Car Parts, Truck Parts, Auto Accessories: Just Great Parts Cheap At CarParts.com compared to local stores.

The best system I've ever heard was borla headers into magnaflow hi flow cats to an x pipe with an 18 in dual in dual out muffler.
