Found some new taillights already in excellent shape with headlights for $60. Looks like I found a new paintable 2500 bumper. So I guess the dual exhaust bumper on my SLT is going on the ST and all the exhaust parts I have collected to convert to a dual system I'll sell to help pay for the dent pull and new paint. **** me.....

Just wired up the fog lights on the SLT today nearly a year after putting the sport bumper on it. I need some vertical Morimotos for the SLT now. Should have been on it a year ago I guess!

After replacing all the 6x9's and adding the JBL GT12 Bass Pro sub/amp combo last year, it still sounded like crap with the cheap single din Kenwood I had. Adding in a Pioneer double din today to fix that problem. I must say, I am not pleased with the Metra 95-6511 mounting kit, but that's all that seems to be out there for the early 4th Gens. Whutevarrr!!!!!

Still have some adjusting to do, but it will fit and line up. I'm soooooo ready to get the rear end fixed and get this hood painted.

Geesh, can't believe I haven't been around for nearly a year now. Time to start playing toy trucks again now that wifey is content with the new house! Lol.

These babies need some attention..

Nice improvement on the hood and I like that grill better. Never been a fan of the one piece, solid mesh grills myself unless you leave the cross-hair in. Cross-hair with a large hole black powder coated woven mesh behind it is the bomb though.

@Tray Burge I do like that mesh with the cross-hair. Your truck looks nice! That one piece solid mesh was not my favorite either. The new one is super cheap, I honestly didn't plan on keeping it long term, but everyone kept complimenting on the truck as a whole, with grill mentions. It's only a hundred bucks and it's a little thin, so if a rock cracks it, I'll just get another one or take another route. Other than that, it suits the truck well and contributes in making it look like a newer model 4th gen.

As for the RK hood. Love it, gave the truck a way more aggressive look, but it was $3.2k. $1500 for the hood and they absolutely do not come ready to paint. It's a coin toss when you get it and how much you will have to spend to get it painted and installed. Typical hood around here can run around $500 for paint. $1500 for the RK due to all the prep work they had to do. I also had to pay $200 for the small wraps on the louvers. Water sits in them and it was going to destroy the paint. Then there are potential alignment issues. I got lucky there. They did the best they could. It was a couple millimeters off from end to end. Not extremely noticeable, but not something I could not stop seeing. It was a simple fix, I put a spacer under one of my grill nuts to lift it and make it even with the hood. It was that or pay to have the hood arm mounts removed and respaced. I'm sure that's not cheap. One other thing about this hood worth mentioning that might not be expected is it's heavier than the stock. It's fiberglass, but very thick. Wasn't the best financial decision to put a $3k hood on a $8k truck, but who said we make good financial decisions when modifying our trucks :D. I'm keeping this one forever anyway, the 2014 SLT will get sold so I have cash to modify my next truck (Cummins!!!).

I like the part after you spend hours dressing it up and your like, I have nowhere to go, but I am surely going somewhere. I'm headed to Home Depot, not because I need anything at the moment, because I want to drive it clean before it's dirty tomorrow. Time to make some noise :peace:
