Hello all, I have 33x12.50r22 toyo open country at extreme tires. I have one tire with 4.5 oz total weights. Is that too many? At what point would toyo warranty tires. No miles on them yet.

I would have the shop unseat that tire and turn the tire on the rim about 1/2 turn then rebalance it. If that doesn't help, have them try another tire. It's not so much about the weight, it's how much variance is there between the other tires/wheels. With the addition of TPMS, even if tires and wheels were perfectly "True", some weight is needed to offset them.

Did the tire store line up the dot on the sidewall with the valve stem? if they did and it still takes that much weight compared to the other three tell them you want a different tire that is not out as much.

Balanced is balanced. 4.5 oz. of weight is not a lot, but it is irrelevant anyway. There are signals that something isn't right when placement of weights in one spot is clearly offsetting weights in another. While that would indicate that there might be a problem with the tire & wheel assembly, it could also mean that the technician wasn't following the rules. The bottom line is "does it run smoothly"? If it does, don't try to "fix" it.
