On the max care warranty how **** are they about mods? I have a leveling kit right now. I'm just curious if they look for ANY reason to get out or doing the warranty work?

I'm hoping it's just like any other warranty. I have the max care and am sticking to just an exhaust. I have air ride so I can't do a level. Like any warranty if they can't prove a mod caused it they are supposed to cover it. No tuners.

They legally in the united states have to honor the warranty if its a warrantied part, and not caused directly by an aftermarket mod.

Dealer near me sells and installs diablo trinity tuners. Dyno tunes and keeps it under warranty. That's the only way I'll get a tuner.

I've heard a lot of it just comes down to the dealer.... a dealer selling tuners? I like it :) I'd have to think that one will do all they can to help you out :)

An exhaust system is no problem from what I've heard. An intake? Hard to imagine they could prove it caused a problem but with how hi-tech these trucks are anything is possible.

I bought the Max Care since I'm just an old guy too busy changing diapers to think about changing the inner-workings of my truck so for me it was a good value.

My 07 was tuned, blew a trans and rear, covered.

They would have to prove your mods caused the issue.

I've never had them give a crap about not honoring anything. Hell, they never even asked for maintenance records.

alot lot of times its education to the the consumer. the magnusson-moss act covers you. like as stated above they have to warranty it as long as your mods did not directly cause the issues.

i use to run an audio shop and it was funny how many times a dealer would try and deny a claim even though it was not related. i had a stack of the magnusson acts i would give to customers and they would give it to the dealers. dealers would usually back down in a hurry...
