most of the paint issues that i have seen are with multi stage paints. Base coats and clear seem to be less of a problem. Both of my Rams assembled at Warren.

Warren trucks have the antenna on the drivers side roof at the rear (2013+).
Besides regular cab 1500s, some Tradesman, Express, and Big Horn crew cab models are built at the Saltillo plant. I see them all the time, its apparent because they have the Sirius/gps antenna upfront on the drivers side of the roof.

Learn something new every day. I'll be looking at every one I pass now!

My truck is a Warren truck and the paint is perfect.

Mine is pretty good except for a spot on the passenger front door that looks like the paint puddled up leaving a low spot to its side, almost looks like a door dent. Other than that I was happy. Not too much orange peel. Can't see it in this pic really.

My 1500 from Warren didn't have any paint or quality issues at all when I traded it. Not even a single squeak or rattle to speak of. I didn't even find any drips or runs on that truck. So far my Saltillo 2500 has been flawless as well and the paint is excellent. I have been happy with both trucks. It will be nice to have the HD's built here at home again.

2016 2500 Mega Cab $x$ Cummins and built in Mexico. The paint is great and only problems have been the recall on the water pump and trans.

My 2017 CC Express was built in Mexico on the 4th of July. Kind of ironic if you ask me.....

I looked at the label on the driver side door and all it said was Made In Mexico. But my window sticker gives more detail.

Ram_Origin.jpg

Only 29% of content is of Mexican origin. The rest is US.Canada. My truck has been flawless, and no paint issues that's I've found. Except for a scratch on the driver door, which the dealer promised to fix and didn't. But it was likely from shipping.

We’re referring to the final assembly point, which will designate what the first digit on the VIN will be (1: US, 2: Canada, 3: Mexico)

Yeah I realize that. I was pointing out I got more info about content origin from the window sticker. And the sticker shows the final assembly point as well.

Mine was made in the US. The Mexico parts percentage? Same as yours, 29%! And my engine was made in Mexico. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here's a link to the window sticker viewer: https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C6RR7XXXXXXXXXXX Just replace the VIN on the end with yours. That gives you a little more detail.

Jesus! I was pointing out info I thought was interesting. I don't need a sticker viewer, though I already know where that is. I have Jpegs of both parts of my full sticker. I just screencap'd the section of my sticker that was pertinent. I'm done...

My regular cab tradesman was built in Mexico. I haven't seen any quality issues. Paint is better than most new vehicles I looked at.

- My 2017 Ram 1500 Express crew cab was built in Saltillo, Mexico (VIN starts with a 3).
- Haven't noticed any paint issues. Of course, now I'm gonna have to look closer...Thanks a lot!
- My SiriusXM antenna is on the driver side front (damn near on the windshield, actually!).
- Only 2,800 miles on truck, so no major issues noted.
- So far, I'm pleased with the quality.

My satillo built 2500 tradesman has been very good. No major paint issues I'm aware of. A few spots on the hood i noticed the other week, but overall it's been a very good truck. It has the park to reverse grind but that's all of them

My '00 2500 Cummins and my '16 1500 hemi were both built in Saltillo. Assembly quality, fit and finish and paint were/are excellent in both vehicles. Other than recalls issued, I haven't had any problems, knock on wood, with either vehicle. Ram sells a lot of trucks in Mexico, it stands to reason they would build some there, I'm pretty sure all the 5.7 motors are produced there, maybe the 6.4s too. GM has a truck plant in Saltillo too if memory serves me correctly. Same thing, all of the big three plus Toyota sell trucks in Mexico, might as well build some there.
