New to the forum. I was in the Navy from 68' - 72' part of VF-101 and VF-74 - both decommissioned now, I believe. I worked on F-4B and F-4J missile control radar - rate was AQ - they've done away with that rate. Made one cruise to the Med on the Forrestal - short cruises on the America. Both these have been decommissioned also.

Geez, I'm noticing a "decommissioned" pattern here....hope it stays clear of me! LOL

Look forward to picking up some good info here!

Figured I should add my bit to this thread for what it’s worth.
8 years South African Army, Infantry Captain, Recon guy and leaving as Special Operations Ops Officer. Went on to do 6 years of private military contracting with DoD and State Department in the Stan. Now days I have a real 9-5 adult job and wish I could go back 25 plus years to do it all over again.
