I'm looking for some projectors to do a retrofit cheaper than the morimoto ones. If there are no good ones I will get the morimoto. Just trying to save a few dollars.

I would save up and get the Morimotos. Considering how much work it is to open the headlights and mount everything, it's worth spending a little more up front. I know more than one person who picked up Acme or some generic ones and ended up pulling everything apart to go to Morimotos down the road. The Mori 7.0 is a very nice projector and well worth the price.

Only problem with that is that I already bought the headlights I'm gonna retrofit so...

Got my projectors off amazon. Work just fine.

I think they're like $25 now.

Cheap projectors are still better than the OEM reflectors. Not forking up the $130 for the new morimoto 7.0s is worth the $100 over the $30 ones.

There are "super" projectors which are a step up over the cheap ones and if you find one with the "step" in the bowl then they are pretty close to the 7.0 as those are the 6.0/6.1 style. But I've seen those around $60-70. Either way I would still vote 7.0 morimoto. I have 2 sets of them and at least 3 sets of the cheap $30 projectors and there is definitely a good jump in light output. The $100 is nothing when you factor in the time it's going to take you to open the headlights. Get ready for hours of fun! Lol

You're much better off. Trust me, the Spyders are beyond garbage. Not only are they a halogen projector, but they're one of the worst ones in existence. The performance is laughable if you've ever seen a remotely decent projector.

Those actually don't look too bad....ya the cutoff shield is a little bowed but still not bad for ebays.

And the shield can be fixed if one really wanted to take them apart.

And they preform 100x better than stock. It must be the scott in me but i hate spending big bucks for only mild improvement and even with hallogen bulbs these projectors out run the high beams and i never get flashed like i did with stock and hid

A good projector will have the hot spot of the light right at the cutoff, notice how the hotspot here is way below the cutoff. Lots of lost output

Not to mention the hotspot is tiny and those things have no width whatsoever. That pic actually proves my point about the Spyders.

Well i have to disagree with you these preform great at a fraction of the cost but tomato tomato im not here to bash your opion even though i think that at the distance you are from that door you have those spots way too close together so they cross over about 50 to 100 feet out and thats a waste of light at 25' those hot spots should not be touching and as for the hot spot being at the top im not sold on that either but again tomato tomato
