Hey guys, first post and out front I'll say it, I'm a F#^king ******* for what I'm about to explain, and hope there's some help, or straight talk about the fix even if its expensive. I got so tired of the engine light and replacing emission sensors I blindly ordered a Mini Max for my 2012 Ram. It locked up at the point of " preparing to download " after a hour of waiting I tried to restart the whole process and bricked the PCM. The truck was completely dead as if no battery was in it. Towed to Dodge dealer, they reflashed the PCM, but now the truck is in limp mode, code p0760. For what ever reason the system at Dodge recognizes the truck as a 2012 but loads 2010 info. The part number confirms the info is for a 2010 , and now the pcm is in limp because it cant find the right signal for the overdrive circuit. I had to take the truck to a another shop to find this out. Took it back to the dealer and they confirmed what the other shop found was true and they have no idea how to get the right in info to over write this conflict, which I assume pieces of the Mini Max are still in the PCM. The service guy at Dodge says all they do is hook up their computer and it ID's the trucks VIN and then its a yes or no to update, he cannot select the updates. I was stupid to not do my research on the Mini Max and did not know they were out of business. The outfit I bought it from has no number only emails, but advertises money back guarantee,, Diesel Products in Washington,, the guy wont call me or email back. But that's another fight for later, just need as much info on these PCM's from those that know, I'm not really confident about the dealer, but they already have a chunk of my money so I'll have to see it thru with them. I love the truck, my first Dodge, first Diesel for that matter after owning Chevy's for ever. I was just so frustrated with the constant emission sensors having to be replaced
