I recently installed some tow mirrors on my 09 SLT. The mirrors have the puddle lights and turn signals on them. Obviously, my trucks stock mirrors did not come with this option, but ive read on here and have seen people have their truck flashed for this option to work. When i removed the door panels i noticed my truck had the extra hook up for the the second plug on the new mirrors for the puddles and turn signals. Well the dealership told me they couldnt add the software to my truck for "tow mirror" upgrade. i explained to them that i just needed the software for my truck to have the light upgrade not for the entire tow mirror themselves. they told me they were unsure what to do and gave it back. that night when i picked my truck up, the puddles illuminated for a couple seconds when i unlocked the truck then shut off and didnt work again. the turn signals worked on the way home from the dealership as well and dont work now. are their any dodge mechanics on here that can help me out? or should i try a different dealer? i would assume if that plug could plug into my door it should work for the lights all the time. Unlike STs and Expresses i have the extra plug. My truck recognizes that the mirrors are different because they are power and when i have the mirrors standing up or folded down, the adjustment arrows go left and right and up and down regardless (if that makes sense.) any help will be appreciated.
