The same thing happened to my MBRP 5" tips....but a quick call to AutoAnything.com and they shipped me a new pair pronto. Now I just have to get them welded on and the old ones cut off.

I bought the Moe’s 5” tips when they were first released, back in 2015. After about a month they began to rust and I sent photos to Matt. He did offer an exchange or a discount on a future order, which I haven’t used yet. But he stood up to the plate.

I've had My Moes 5 inchers on for about two years. Absolutely no issues with them. And I can almost guarantee you that when Matt finds out about this issue, he will take care of You Pronto.

Bought and installed my tips a couple weeks before Christmas. They look like OP’s and like ncgrl1 mine also started yellowing after a few heat cycles.

Overall this is pretty ****** for the price. Theres really no excuse for this if you’re gonna charge well over 200$ for tips.

Well, it's been a week, and I haven't heard anything back from Moes. Anyone else?

Put mine on in May--DOING JUST FINE!

OP is in Wisconsin, one of the salt capitals of the world. I wonder if there might not be a connection?

I’m in NC and mine look like OPs. Been on for 2.5 months.

This makes me glad I went with the Carven 5" tips. Mine still look brand new and I believe I paid 170 (on sale) which bolted directly up, no adapter needed for them. Sorry this happened to you, stock tips look better then rusted tips.

Supposedly Blue Away will take away the gold coloring that comes from the heat cycles. I will probably get some and try it the next time I wash my truck. I just hate that I paid so much money for these tips and this is happening. I'd be more ok with it if other users were having the same issue, but it seems like it may be a problem with Moe's more recent stock.

I got mine in August or September and they have quickly turned gold. I contacted Matt shortly afterwards and he said to get some chrome polish and try that. They got so bad I took them off last week so I could polish them good. I did, and they are now a very pretty gold color, but not what I want for my truck. I sent him an e-mail and he never responded. That's a lot of money for a product that has some kind of defect in the material. There has been numerous people on here that have bought these and never had problems. I have bought several items from Moes in the past but I would not recommend them anymore.
basically this

My personal experience from using around 10ish diff. forum vendors, "MOES" was by far the worst and he fully ignored my calls and E-mails. Actually the exact reason i decided to hit up Nick@gotexhaust when i was long tube shopping because not a chance i was sending that money to moes and have a issue and him ignore me again, very glad i did.

Just my experience i know others speak highly of that vendor so idk, but them tips are obviously crap for that price (no offense,) im shocked he even responded to you
