Mopar OEM Cab Light Kits

So, the OEM P/N for the Cab Light kit is 82211190AB, which is the clear lenses with the amber bulbs. It is for 2010-2014 Ram 1500 by what I have seen. My question is, whats the difference between the 2002-2008 Rams VS the 2009-2018 Ram, so that the Cab light kits for the older model Rams won't fit/work on my 4th Gen Ram 1500? Is it all to do with the wiring? I would like the Amber Lense OEM Cab Light kit but they don't list any for the 4th Gen Rams. The lights are going to be hard wired , not plug n play into my existing trucks wiring harness. I will live with the clear lenses with Amber Bulbs if need be. I like the idea of the bulbs can be changed out, and possibly put an LED bulb replacement in them before install.

I don't believe there is any difference in the roof lines between these models that would hinder you from using the 2002-2008 lights with the amber lenses. I don't think there are any that are "plug & play", they all get hard wired in one way or another. The Mopar kits do come complete with everything you need including the template. I did try LED bulbs in my 95, but preferred the "softer" glow from the incandescent bulbs, so just stuck with those. Good luck with your project.

Does anyone have a Silver Ram, around a 2014 in year with the clear OEM Cab Lights installed so I could see if they look good, before I purchase them? And maybe having them on at like dusk.
