Didn't see there was only three chips. Looks like I'll be sticking with my hid fogs.

HID fogs are wildly unsafe. These are a legal and focused beam pattern meaning you’re not blinding oncoming drivers like you are now.

I know they can be very unsafe, when they are pointed up and into traffic. Trust me, mine are in a safe position. I've done many tests with my wife driving towards me and they are good. 85% of the time I'm out in the country and I can certainly use all the light I can get.

At least yours are close, I don't think mine left MO yet, that's a bit of a stretch to MI

Then you’re more dangerous than you think, because a fog light housing has a lot of bleed up, so either they are dangerously pointed up into oncoming traffic, or they’re pointed down to the point of being ineffective. I won’t debate this with you, the fact (read: not opinion) is that the stock fog housings are nowhere near adequate for an HID bulb and are wildly unsafe. You choose to do what you want, but at least be educated on the subject.

Yes LED bulbs are everywhere. The xb lights are clean and focused. That being said. With how they have the fog lights set up Morimoto could have definitely added more diodes than what they have in there. I’m disappointed by that fact. Unless dot laws are really that strict that they couldn’t, But they’re still brighter than halogen and they still get rid of the eye sore factory reflector housings. Maybe down the road I’ll just have Jeremy build me some retrofit housings with my old housings and have him paint them black.

Heres my quick review ....

#1 complaint is having to modify stock brackets to accommodate the morimoto fogs..... I ended up breaking a tab in the process . For 250$ they should come with their own bracket already installed on the light .....

#2 I had to add a washer to allow the adjuster spring to function as it should without binding up .

#3 they should have sent self tapping screws with the lights to mount the resistors .. or metal zip ties .

I have yet to mount the resistors .... Anyone have a good spot or method to mount them? I'm all ears!
Haven't tried them at night yet so light output isn't able to be commented on yet

if the 1500 is set up similarly to the HD, there is what i think is a snow plow bracket mount right next to the headlight that sticks down and has some holes in it for bolts. i will be mounting mine there by running a hose clamp through those holes to prevent them from sliding down and off the bracket. it's hard to explain so i'll grab some pics when i do my install.

I got 4 stainless key rings and threaded them through the mounting holes on the resistors then zip tied them around the bumper brace as far forward as a good too avoid water splashing on them. This way the resistors aren’t touching the zip ties and the heat has some space to dissipate before reaching the plastic ties. The key rings don’t get hot to the touch so I think its working great. Other people are using 4 inch hose clamps. I didn’t have any laying around so I might do that come spring.

Here's where I mounted mine with self tappers. Wasn't to bad, was able to get up in there with a small dewalt impact driver and get the self tappers in.c316eea5c7bc55c4476e7319e28b76bc.jpg2a8037e1de8e4de1c8c08e986f4daff1.jpg

$250 for these lights? Extremely overpriced.
based on what logic? it's an entirely new housing, self-contained, plug and play with harnesses and resisters included, and it is custom-designed for this specific vehicle. where else are you finding a like-product for less?

How do you figure? They’re not bulbs they’re housings. It would be the same price if you bought led bulbs and new factory housings.

Can get used housing off ebay for $50. Bulbs for $20. Your paying for the name. Bulbs are made by the same chinese manufacturer...CREE
