Mufflex Install

I just got done installing the Mufflex Muffler DOD14M and had a few questions.

1. The driver side exhaust pipe is hanging a little lower than the passenger side. Any tips on how to get it to level back up? I cant anything that would raise it.

2. The tailpipes dont seem to go in as far as they were with the OEM muffler. They are sticking out of the muffler about <1/4" more than it did before. Mostly this is due to the welded screw or something that is on the tailpipe and it wont push in any further. I would imagine that this is okay, as there is no gap and it seems like it is snug in there. Just wanted to see if others had this experience and if it was okay!

3. I used hi-temp silicon on the in-let and out-let pipes. Any recommendation for how long to let it dry before driving? It says 24 hours, but didnt know if it was okay to drive after an hour or so.

1. you can adjust them, there's a clamp for the tips
2. you will have to shave the alignment pin on the factory pipes to let it go further in
3. I usually wait an hour before tighten everything and then another 6-8 hours before driving

Do I need to shave them off? The pipes seem snug in there even though they aren’t all the way in.

Thanks for the suggestion for the clamp on the tailpipes. I’ll have to go back under and try to find it

i think the pipes go in far enough to make a good seal if you don't want to shave off the alignment pins.

I just did my exhaust and the pipes were sticking out way too far, so I shaved an inch off my extension pipe (different muffler then you) and grinded the alignment pins off my 2 exit pipes for give me more room for adjustment.

I just installed my carven muffler . I had a really good fit . Just some slight adjusting after but over all a real good fit. I had to loosen the right tailpipe and raise it up with a slight turn .

Pretty sure I’m blowing the insides of my magnaflow mufflex muffler out slowly. Here’s a pic of what’s in my exhaust tips

Just installed my boesch built a few weeks ago and didnt have to touch the oe alignment pins. Pins didnt bottom out and tips were depth wise perfect. Then each tip has a clamp you can loosen and adjust up down left right and rotation if needed. I had to tweak the pass side up like 1/4 inch and was easy to do
