anyone have this problem I have all my songs on a sd card everything works fine expect the order the music is played...

say I have 10 albums from one artist... if I play the first album under an artist it will play the whole album but will not play the next album from that artist... example if I play

artist: king diamond
album Abagail... it will play the whole album but it will not play the next album from king diamond Abagail 2 revenge

it will randomly play another album from another artist like morbid angel

and if I hit voice command and tell it to paly a song the song keeps playing over and over will not even let you skip to next song

does it in my 2015 big horn with the 8.4a and does the same in my 2014 Laramie 8.4an

Weird. I don't use the SD card, but use a flash drive instead. When the last song on a album finishes it just starts that album over again....plays track #1. It will keep doing that until I select a different album. I'm not sure why the SD card would be different. Maybe it's the way you have them saved on the SD card?

I have a 2014 Sport with the 8.4AN.

It may depend on which stereo.

On mine (the base model for 2014, the UConnect 3.0), it's totally dependent on filename and the folder it's in (if any). On the higher ones and other years, I don't know for sure, but I suspect it to be the same.

I downloaded MediaMonkey and had it rename and reorganize all the songs into folders by artist and album, then renamed all the songs as [Track]-[Song Title] so they play in order now.

Now, that's assuming all the tags are there. If you have songs that don't show up right while they're playing, you'd need to edit the tags and make sure they're right before using something like that to reorganize them.

Of course, you don't have to use something like MediaMonkey. It's easier than editing a few thousand files and moving them into folders yourself, but either way works.

I use the SD card as well, and have had a lot of mixed results in the sort and playback of the files. I'm using a 64 gig card instead of a 32, and I was starting to think my problems were due to the capacity format workaround, but if you're also seeing this problem, maybe not. Just out of curiosity, what size card are you using Morbidking?
I know the Uconnect is really picky about ID3 tags as darthdzl said, but I've had poor results from all of the tag fixers I've tried, MediaMonkey included. The best fix I've found for the meantime is to sort by artist instead of folder under BROWSE. Select All Songs for the artist you want to listen to, and you can use the TRACKS button on the right side of the main screen to pull up the list sorted by albums (if your filenames/tags are all correct). It may not order them the way you want, but it makes it easier to jump to the first song of the next album you want to hear Instead of going back through BROWSE again.

just redid everything using mediamonkey it only took me 4 1/2 hours lets hope this works

anyone ever try using voice command to change to a song it just keeps replaying the same song over and over will not even let you skip to next song

It's likely the order the files are in the file allocation table. Here's a thread that talks about some tools for sorting the table:

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1812595

Some devices are just dumb, it's easier code wise just to go to the next file in the table vs. loading up all the files and sorting.
