My 0-60 run today... thoughts?

IMHO, everything you said sounds good. LTs are not legal in Cali, but that doesn't mean there aren't guys running them.
I just didn't want the hassle, both on install and then smog... JBA shorties are working great for me and they are the only ones carb cert (even BBK shorties are not, last I checked).

Also, the Volant cai is carb cert, not sure about S&B. But taking the cai on and off for smog test is easy. I have a VaraRam, but I still have a carb sticker from when I had a Volant... wink, wink if you know what I mean, lol!

I would definitely start with the tuner: Diablosport and Hemifever. There is not another $600 mod that will transform your truck like the tune.
FYI, might wanna check if/when the tranny tune is out for the 8spd (if that is what you have, sorry I can't remember).

Yezzir I have the 8 speed. I'll remember to keep al my stock stuff.

Screw you Cali guys. I love driving down there (from Vegas). As soon as you drop into that sea level cool air, all cars come alive. It really is amazing how much difference our hot 2000' elevation air hurts vehicles (even stock).

Ill be sure to drive the truck down after the mods are complete and see what she can do

Just installed 93 tune out of the box.
brand new 5.7 8 speed all stock and i ran 5.8 0-60 is that good? I ran 7 last night without it. I just emailed hemifever for an updated map.

Is their a towing tune? I tow often and would like better fuel economy when i do.

TC off that made a huge diff. I power braked it to 1500 rpm. Crew cab 2wd NO limited slip diff. All stock.. 600 miles on it.

This is the second time in my life I have done a timed run in any vehicle, and I have never even seen a drag strip (except for on youtube)! Lol!

I am the kinda guy who likes fast, stiff handling vehicles to take out in the canyons to smoke tires and drift through turns! But I have no experience with launching and making fast runs in a straight line.

Wow, really impressive! Any idea if you totalled up the engine parts what you have in it with exhaust, mods etc???? Just curious what the price of admission into the 5 second club is.

Plus, installation on some of them. I might be forgetting something on that list...

The suspension work has helped alot, too. I have spent lots of money there. Even things as small as the rock hard bushings in the control arms help get more power to the wheels with less deflection, IMHO.

A couple things. I have the Express with very few options, so my truck is one of lightest Rams produced, that's why I bought it . Also, my stock wheels are super light, lighter than most after market wheels, that's why I kept them. Actually, I am gonna be taking some more weight off the rear end when I do a roll pan mod I have been working on.

I am up to about $14,000 on all of my mods combined, so far. Ssshhhh, don't tell my wife!!! Lmao!

YUP.

was up to about 34-3500 USD for what ive got. Makes the truck funner, sure. But its no rocket. And seemingly every 2014+ with an 8 speed can match me.

But that 3500 is like getting carbon splitters and skirts on a new Z06 (if I could conjure the OTHER $80000 id be golden)

Curious how your baby was behaving.... mine was running .23 faster on the 0-60 runs at 80*. Back on the stock tune due to an issue with my trinity, waiting for them to fix it.

If my time improvements hold up to what they were, my crew cab should run 5.57 around 72* at my current elevation

I have not done any with the new tune... Off the line I definitely feel like it's faster, but I haven't done enough wot to know how it is at the top end.

Ofcourse, if you don't like the new tune, just load in the previous one... Do you feel a difference with yours??
