The conditions:

77 degrees, 78% humidity, 200 ft elevation.

Road was a little rough, couple bumps here and there. Half a tank of gas. Stock goodyear tires and rims.

Only did this single run because it's hard to find a time and place in my overcrowded town. I was kinda nervous because it wasn't the best street for this... :(

I set off two car alarms, so I decided not to stick around for an audience, Lol!

Pretty sure I can improve on this: better road, air down my tires, shed some weight, cooler weather/less humid, and most importantly practice my launches.

What do ya'll think?

BTW, this is my second ever run. The first one I did was about 4 months ago.

That was 5.91 seconds, with 3.55 gears/open dif, and prior to lowering. Otherwise all the same mods. I got alot of one-wheel-peel on that one. Lol

Looks good to me David. My best one to date has been a 5.90. That's with 3.55's and not lowered. I haven't ran it again to see how or if being lowered will affect my times

think about the weight your moving from 0-60, then think about the aero factor.

to me that is a FANTASTIC 0-60 !

think about what you could do on the some lower profile tires also, with better grip ! ?

Thanks man! 5.9 is very good, too. I think being lowered might help a tad... :)

Thanks man! I think I can improve on that number as equiped.

But you are right, it would be fun to have some smaller, stickier tires to play around with. :naughty:

That's fast!! This is the best one that I've done after I put my S&B in. Quicker than it was but nothing compared to yours! Haha uploadfromtaptalk1406519736923.jpg

Awesome run dR. the hardest thing for a go fast truck is getting off the line without spinning the rear wheels.

Thats an awesome time David! I thought that low 5s would be nearly impossible to do without a stall converter. Mine has that take off "bog" that seems to make that time impossible. Mine is usually at 5.9-6.0 with stickier tires. The tires/rims I have are also heavier and may be hurting me as well though? Very nice Brother!

Thanks! And your are right, I need to learn to control wheel spin, and I will get better launches.
On this run I did ok, a little spin off the line and a pretty big chirp into second...

Thanks bro! (Edit: oops sorry, forgot you had rcsb, too.)

The rim-weight issue is one of the reasons I kept my stock rims, they are lighter than any aftermarket I could find (not to mention, I kinda like them) :)

I don't have much of an issue with bogging at take off, my truck seems pretty responsive, not quite a jack rabbit, but not bad for a hunk of steel! Lol! Ofcourse, I do have a little surge of power in the higher rpms, but not as much as most guys talk about having...

Does anyone know what stock 0-60 times are for my truck?? :favorites13:

Great time! This was my best on my 09 with Superchips, S&B, 85mm TB, 3.92 and a 14" Magnaflow. Also where I live I am 5000ft above sea level. So that robs me of some power.
