My 06 Ram Night Runner

Figured I would share some pics of my 1500. So far I've painted my toolbox, tinted the tail and third brake lights and added black tips to the exhaust. I've added a cai and flow master dual exhaust.

I'm planning a 1.5" leveling kit, 1 size bigger tires and a tuner next. Then replacing all the exterior bulbs with LEDs and to tint the front lights. Also gonna upgrade the factory speakers with some to Rockford fosgate.

Nice! I had never even heard of the night runner until a few days ago... Do you have any more pics of your toolbox? How did you paint it?

1. Used muriatic acid to remove any wax and the aluminums natural protective layer.
2. Used a paint stripping wheel to give it some texture.
3. Used self etching primer....3 coats.
4. 3 coats of VHT engine primer...black.

It turned out really nice, all shiny and black. But the bed rail covers I had were textured so I wanted it to match.
Used a Scotch brite pad on the toolbox then used a can of the bedliner spray to give it texture.

Edit: I still need to go over it with some high gloss clear to get it to shine.

I'm thinking about switching to a 17" black wheel to cut down on my tire price. I'm not much for big oversized tires so I'm not sure how it would with 17"s.
